HA! We have a new streamlined electronic leave application form. I applied online last week and now "approval is pending", the decision to approve has to be made by boss2 by two weeks after I get back!

Didn't go out last night (soft!), slept instead. Am a little glad I did, was a lovely rest. So this weekend, haven't managed to buy a laptop - I really should - anyone have pc laptop/notebook recommendations?

Sheesh - really need to get back into this.

Am so behind, um... (*checks*) wow haven't had a real entry since the house move! The week after that was massive cleanup of the old house. Did a Saturday of it as a household, but then I was doing it in all my spare time during the week, taking car loads of old junk to the tip in the morning before work (tip opened early and closed before I finished work), and then cleaning in the evenings for a good three days. Ick. So bond has been promised back (think landlord realizes he's in an untenable situation), but we're waiting on final bills for the house... :P
But since *that*... hm.
Reading:
Greek Restaurant Piraeus Blues on Brunswick St with Lain and her new boy Egg. Crowded. A bit damp from sudden downpour. Good food. Ate bunny. And other stuff.
Had dinner at a fancy restaurant for Epone, (Loud's cousin) for her birthday, then we all went to Honky Tonks afterward for a bit, then on to Brown Alley for a really good dance. Bumped into Quill and Barmy and Mae and friends.
Had a workshop for work which went really well. Was quite anxious about it beforehand. Got on really well with one potentially cantankerous old farmer who took a real shine to me. Was a little amusing - he ruffled my hair when he left. Suspect he thought I was rather younger than I am - although I guess when you're 70+? everyone seems quite young... (Whilst staying in country for workshop I also caught Happy Tree Friends on SBS Thursday night - is *Brilliant*!)
Had just a couple of ppl over for BBQ at new house last Sat arvo for Evan, Nelly's boy. Wasn't as bogan as feared, but apparently hinting to the dregs to leave the house on Sunday arvo (crashed at our place after going out after bbq) was problematic (I was out somewhere). Ellen also had a housewarming/birthday party on Saturday which I went to after the BBQ.
And this week Sam was visiting from over West. Went to his mate Oat's place on Tuesday and had dinner cooked for me - tortillas made from scratch! *So* impressed. Really delish. Lamb filling, with lots of salady stuff. Yum. And last night went for first midweek dance in like forever. Was good. Saw duo called Pitch Black who apparently were really good at Earthcore last weekend. Had a good boogie.
